Sorry for the (triple) exclamation marks, but I am excited and envigorated. I has a commission! So happy... good motivation to art purposefully instead of randomly (surprise surprise...).

The first is an album cover (yay) for a mate. You should check out his band, Embers of Sanity. I think I shall post it later, though. After food. Food is good.

The second is a request I got for a character sketch, which I am (sorry to say) meandering very slowly on, but there are extenuating circumstances. For one, I expected to roleplay my char with said other char and therefore get a feel for it, so to speak, as there was not must description given, but just enough to be frustrating and obstructive in the creative process. WHY DON'T PEOPLE RESPECT THE PROCESS, DAMMIT? So underrated...

Usually I don't mind people being vague (case in point: afore-mentioned album cover ), but there's vague and there's not-helpful-in-the-slightest-as-I-don't-draw-the-same-face-with-different-hair/clothes/etc. Does he have big eyes or small? What shape face? Expressions likely to be found on said face? Anything for a little insight, I can't read minds (unfortunately). It's not just to make things easier on me, it's so the requester/commissioner gets what they want first time round. And rah rah rah on that...

ANYhow, other relevant stuff... where was I... oh! Third, I am doing a gift art for my social worker, as she is changing jobs. She got head-hunted by the Department, so I am doing my best to be happy for her. Hence the gift art.
Still, just goes to show that if DHS can't get your kid, they'll find another way to kick you in the crotch. Mofoes... *grrrs at them*

And finally, some promotion as well as news- 's Secret Santa! If wish more people viewed me so they'd be all like, 'OOOOooo, I would like to join in on that,' but wishes ain't horses or I'd have food by now.

But yes. Two sketches are likely to be uploaded tonight, or tomorrow. If they don't appear by Sunday, I've probably forgotten. Oh well. Shit happens.
